Here’s Everything You Didn’t See at The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 15 Reunion
We’re taking you behind the scenes of the RHOA cast’s dramatic Season 15 sit-down.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 15 reunion was filled with relationship updates, tense arguments, and shocking revelations. But if the conclusion of Part 2 left you wanting even more, we’re here to fill you in on everything that went down behind the scenes.
By 9:30 a.m. on July 27, the ’Wives had already been in glam for hours at the studio in New York City and the crew was hard at work getting everything working perfectly for the day ahead. After taking a moment to enjoy the snack selection (which had everything from fruit to granola bars to doughnuts), several crew members began to test lighting. Stand-ins for each cast member arrived and sat on the couches to do test shots until nearly 10 a.m.
Following a sound check at 10:20 a.m., host Andy Cohen walked onto the set (which was designed to resemble the cast’s trip to Portugal) at 11:10 a.m. After taking a moment to meditate at the setup on the floor, he stood and headed to his chair.
As Andy waited for the RHOA ladies to arrive on the stunning set, he got a makeup touch-up and was handed his reunion cards for the day. After asking for more cards, he took several selfies with the stack and flipped through them.
Kenya Moore was the first to take her seat on the couches at 11:13 a.m., and she was joined by Shereé Whitfield two minutes later. After chatting for a few minutes, someone placed Shereé’s folder of receipts behind her pillow on the couch. With a laugh, Kenya declared, “She’s always got some receipts!” As we know now, those receipts would later lead Andy to say they were the “shadiest” he’s seen in reunion history.
Kandi Burruss walked onto the set at 11:22 a.m., and a few minutes later asked for help with a loose string that was hanging from her Matopeda Atelier dress. Marlo Hampton quickly followed, and then Drew Sidora joined the group at 11:30 a.m., explaining that her Matopeda Atelier dress was “heavy, but never too heavy.” Two minutes later, Sanya Richards-Ross walked onto the set, excitedly revealing her pregnancy to many of her castmates in the process as she showed off her baby bump.
At 11:34 a.m., the glam teams came onto the set to do final touch-ups, and four minutes later, the reunion’s first segment began filming. At 1:23 p.m., filming stopped for an extended break, and Andy recorded a few Instagram Story videos before leaving the set. Marlo, referencing her now-viral quote from Season 14 Episode 11, said, “This reunion drained me,” as she laughed and walked out of the room.
Bravo’s social media team then captured content with several cast members, and Sanya took her official reunion photo. While some of the crew ate lunch, another sound check took place at 2:10 p.m. Ahead of her surprise performance, Drew also did a sound check at 2:25 p.m.
At 2:40 p.m., the ladies made their way back to the set and Kandi took her official reunion photo, as well as some selfies on her phone.
While they waited for the cameras to start rolling, Kenya excitedly talked about taking her daughter, Brooklyn, to a recent movie premiere. ICYMI: The mother-daughter duo wore the most adorable matching outfits as they hit the red carpet together for the event.
Filming resumed at 2:57 p.m. until another break at 3:26 p.m., when the group waited for Courtney R. Rhodes and Monyetta Shaw-Carter to join them. In the meantime, Shereé took photos of Andy holding her now-iconic SHE News.
The group resumed filming at 3:42 p.m. and paused for another quick break at 5:15 p.m. Andy, Kandi, Kenya, and Monyetta posed for photos together, while Marlo recorded a video for Instagram.
At 5:28 p.m., filming resumed, and Ralph Pittman joined the group at 6:04 p.m. After a heated argument, Drew walked off the set at 6:40 p.m., and Andy’s makeup was touched up while everyone waited for Drew to come back, which happened eight minutes later.
After Drew’s performance at 6:55 p.m., the group took a quick break and returned for a toast with Portuguese wine (and sparkling water for Kandi and Sanya) at 7:03 p.m. Less than 10 minutes later, the reunion officially wrapped, and Marlo, Shereé, Kenya, and Drew took their official reunion photos before leaving the studio.
The day concluded in the sweetest way. At 7:15 p.m., Sanya’s son and husband walked onto the set in matching outfits. In case that wasn’t cute enough, her 6-year-old then handed Sanya a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
