Kandi Burruss Reacts to Cynthia Bailey Making It Further Than Her on Celebrity Big Brother
The Kandi & The Gang cast member reveals what she texted the RHOA alum after she made it to the final three of CBB Season 3.
Cynthia Bailey made it to the final three of Celebrity Big Brother before she became the final evicted houseguest of Season 3, the furthest that any Housewife has gone on the show so far. So, how did Kandi Burruss, who placed fifth in Season 2 of Celebrity Big Brother, feel about her friend surpassing her in the competition?
"Listen, I hit up Cynthia in a text, and I was like, 'I'm so proud of you. You actually got farther than me,'" Kandi, who has been supportive of Cynthia's Celebrity Big Brother journey from the beginning, revealed during the March 6 Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen After Show (clip above). "She said, 'I finally beat you at something!'"
However, Kandi noted that she did come out on top the last time she and Cynthia went head-to-head on a game show. "You know I beat her on Family Feud, right?" the Kandi & The Gang cast member joked to Andy Cohen.
The topic of Kandi's competitiveness came up during the WWHL After Show when Andy brought up Kandi & The Gang's theme song. "I love the theme song that you wrote and performed for the show," Andy told Kandi. "It's so great."
Kandi gave some props to husband Todd Tucker and daughter Riley Burruss, who she said provided "a little help" on the tune. "It's almost as good as the best theme song on Bravo, the Watch What Happens Live theme song," Andy said to Kandi, who replied, "Don't you even try it. Don't try it, Andy!"
Andy then provided a little bit of context to Kandi's fellow WWHL guest, Carson Kressley, and everyone watching at home. "I said to Kandi during the beginning of the show, I go, 'My theme song's pretty good, right?' She goes, 'Mine is the best,'" Andy said. "She has got to be the best at everything. Carson, you don't want to compete against her."
Carson does know a thing or two about competition, having appeared with Cynthia in Season 3 of Celebrity Big Brother. The Queer Eye and Get a Room with Carson & Thom alum came in sixth place this season and dished on his experience in the Celebrity Big Brother house earlier in the night on WWHL, including whether or not he regretted doing the show after later finding out that not everyone had been telling him the truth during the game. "I didn't regret doing the show; I regretted that moment of, you know, a very valuable life lesson of not looking at somebody's actions and then believing somebody else," Carson said in the below clip. "Always trust people's actions over words."
Oh, and that drama between Cynthia and Todd Bridges? Well, Carson was just as shocked as the rest of us at what went down in the Celebrity Big Brother house. "I was just trying to make pancakes, you know, and was like, 'Oh, this is getting tense, and I've got a spatula. What should I do?' They had their blow-up," Carson said, adding that he later had his own "moment" with Todd.
During the WWHL After Show, Carson shared where he stands with some of his fellow Celebrity Big Brother houseguests today, including Lamar Odom, AKA Lammy. See what he had to say in the video at the top of this post.
Of course, Carson is still tight with his Celebrity Big Brother ride or die, Cynthia, who he ran into in New York City last week. "WE BACK OUTSIDE!" Cynthia captioned a collection of snaps of the pair on Instagram on March 2. "Thanks [Celebrity Big Brother] for reconnecting me with my new 'brother' [and] friend 4 life [Carson]!"
Cynthia may not be returning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta for the upcoming Season 14, but she and Kandi are also still the best of friends. The two bumped into each other in the Big Apple last week. "Look who I found!!!! Love me some [Cynthia]!" Kandi gushed on Instagram on March 2, to which Cynthia, who posted the same photo in her IG grid, replied in the comments, "So glad I got to see you, miss u!"
