Raquel Leviss Opens up About the Hardest Part of Being a SURver

Now that Raquel Leviss has been working at SUR for nearly a full year, she’s got a pretty solid handle on the way things run at the famous Vanderpump Rules hotspot. So, Raquel spilled all the tea on what it’s truly like to be a SURver when she appeared as a guest on The Daily Dish podcast.
When asked what the trickiest part of her job is, Raquel explained that she sometimes has a hard time remembering people’s orders.
“Especially when I’m going to a table and just introducing myself and pouring some water, maybe, and they’re ready to order right away and I don’t have time to get out my pen and paper to write it down,” she said. “I’m like, OK, they wanted a ribeye steak with mashed potatoes and broccolini, and repeating, repeating, repeating so I don’t mess up... which I have before.”
Raquel also revealed that the toughest SUR manager is someone we don’t see much of on the show: Diana. “I feel like our relationship has gotten better because I always say like, ‘Hi, Diana!’ but she’s probably the most stern, and when I first started working at SUR, she came up to me and she’s like, ‘Raquel, you have a bad Yelp review. You need to learn all the drinks on the drink menu.’ I was terrified. I was like, I have a bad Yelp review? Like, my life is over.”
Raquel didn’t stay bummed out by the bad review for too long, though. Instead, she used it as motivation to totally master the menu.
“Then, I studied the bar menu, and I came back to her and I presented to her all the ingredients in every drink, so she was happy about that,” said Raquel.
