Padma Lakshmi Shares an Incredible Throwback Photo from Her First Major TV Gig
The Top Chef host unearthed an epic snapshot from the early days of her career.
Padma Lakshmi is taking a walk down memory lane. The Top Chef host reflected on her fruitful career in a recent Instagram post, sharing an incredible throwback photo from one of her first major TV gigs.
On June 25, Padma took to Instagram to open up about how grateful she is for all of her incredible work experiences. The food expert and bestselling author unearthed an epic picture from early on in her career, capturing her standing outside in front of an olive grove.
As Padma explained in the caption of the post, the flashback photo was taken as she was experiencing a major milestone in her television career. “This is me doing my first food documentary literally 20 years ago,” she wrote alongside the snapshot.
She went on to add, “I’m picking olives in southern Spain and that look on my face is ‘How the hell did I get this lucky?’ I still feel this way.”
Nearly two decades later, Padma remains just as passionate about experiencing different global cuisines working with a wide range of chefs. In April, she opened up about the kind of moment she still most looks forward to seeing every season on Top Chef.
"I love when chefs don't think they did well and they actually #killedit," she tweeted.
