Nene Leakes Reacts to Men Sliding Into Her DMs Following Gregg’s Passing
Nene also shared an update on how she's doing following her husband's passing last month.
Nene Leakes is thankful for the attention she's been getting since Gregg Leakes' passing last month, but she wanted fans to know she isn't quite ready to date again. She commented on Instagram that she's been receiving DMs from interested suitors but is only going so far as to read them.
"Thank you to everybody. All the gentlemen that have been in my DMs, thank y'all too," she said in her Instagram Stories recently, according to ET. "I'm just over here doing me right now, but, anyway, hey... I love reading the messages. They are inspiring to say the least. Thank you."
Nene also thanked the fans, friends, and celebs who have been supporting her since Gregg's passing. She shared her gratitude for those who are "showing me a lot of love," she said. "Thank you so much for loving me."
Nene has been keeping fans up to date on how she's doing since losing Gregg last month. She noted in a recent Instagram post that she is "pushing thru," and she's also been busy working hard as a businesswoman, which includes her career as owner of The Linnethia Lounge.
She's also been feeling the love from those in the Bravo family. Marlo Hampton and Cynthia Bailey recently got in some time to hang out with Nene at the club. Nene posted photos from the event held last month. She also shared a small update on how she's managing it all following the big life change in a post last month.
"Thanks to all of you that are coming out showing love [and] dropping off gifts! I love you and I love the gifts! Please work wit me as I be having highs [and] lows! Trying to adjust to my new normal so I may not always be present in the moment," she wrote at the time. Thanks to all of the chefs that are reaching out wanting to cook for me! Trust me I want to eat but I am currently on a fast and can’t eat until after 6pm daily."
Gregg's passing after a battle with colon cancer was confirmed in September. He was later remembered at his celebration of life, which was attended by members of The Real Housewives of Atlanta family and held at the Linnethia Lounge on September 6.
Also in September, Nene held a night in honor of her late husband at the club for fans to come and show their love for him. She posted a throwback video of Gregg and noted that the event was meant for those "to come celebrate [and] party for Gregg! It’s G nite and everybody is welcome to attend. I can’t wait to see [y'all] tonight and just have a laugh (good vibes only)... I love lookin at all these videos of Gregg."
