NeNe Leakes Calls Out Raven-Symoné and the Other Hosts of The View for Being Shady
The #RHOA alum dished on the drama surrounding her appearance on the talk show last month.
NeNe Leakes found herself involved in some drama worthy of The Real Housewives of Atlanta last month when she had a tense appearance on The View that ended with the Broadway star calling the talk show's hosts "mean girls" in a tweet that has since been deleted. The RHOA alum explained why she felt so unwelcome on The View during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live Sunday night. "I didn't see any of those ladies on the panel until I actually walked on the panel, and I felt like they weren't kind to me," NeNe told Andy Cohen.
Though Joy Behar seemed to be the most noticeably hostile toward NeNe, the actress revealed that she wasn't the only one that seemed to judge her from the get-go. "It was more than Joy. Now, Joy definitely was throwing a lot of shade, but there was someone else on the panel that threw shade as well, as far as looking me up and down," NeNe explained. "Now we were live, so as far as what the cameras shot or [showed], I don't know. It didn't show everything, but I can tell you there were a couple of people on that panel who were very shady."
NeNe confirmed that she felt like Raven-Symoné had been unfriendly toward her on The View as well, saying she looked her up and down "real nasty-like." NeNe seemed to feel the shade the most when she showed off photos of her new home to The View hosts, which Joy and Raven commented on. "Look, first of all, I was invited to their show. I was there to promote Chicago and other things. They asked me to bring pictures of my home there, and I brought the pictures they had asked me to bring," NeNe said. "They just weren't kind. They did not have nice manners."
Of course, NeNe couldn't resist throwing some shade of her own at the ladies of The View. "I know all of them are tired," NeNe said. "Their hairstyles are tired. Their makeup is tired. You know, whatever."
