Naomie Olindo on What She Learned from Craig Conover That She Applies to Her Relationship with Metul Shah

Naomie Olindo was introduced to the world of Southern Charm via her romance with Craig Conover several seasons ago. But, as is sometimes the case, Naomie and Craig ultimately went their separate ways in early 2018 just as the world was about to embark on Season 5 of the series and watch as their issues really began to bubble to the surface. They laid bare their relationship ups and downs, but eventually couldn't make it work. And as fans saw on the Season 6 premiere, Naomie has found love again with hunky doctor Metul Shah, and she took some lessons she learned from living her romance with Craig in front of the world to this current relationship.

“The way you have to face that stuff is, if you’re not gonna care about the negative comments, which you shouldn’t, you also shouldn’t take the positive comments to heart. Don’t listen to any of it, only listen to your friends and your family," she recently told Decider.

So, what is it about Metul that she's so attracted to? "He makes me want to do better... He’s an amazing dancer, I have probably hundreds of videos of him dancing. Metul, he’s really helped me [see] I don’t need to go out all the time and people also shouldn’t be pressuring you to do it," she said. "I definitely go out less and am home a lot more but I’m so much happier that way."

And whereas Craig had already been a member of the Southern Charm cast when she started dating him, Metul took some convincing to put his life out there. “It took a long, long time,” she said. “He wanted nothing to do with it. But he did it for me which is really nice. I know he didn’t want to. But he handled it like a champ."
