Here's Where Monique Samuels and Karen Huger's Friendship Stands Now
The Real Housewives of Potomac ladies have both opened up about their feelings.
Monique Samuels and Karen Huger’s friendship hit a bit of a snag in the October 25 episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac, when the Not for Lazy Moms podcaster learned of comments the grande dame had made regarding the winery incident. The friends cleared the air with a series of Instagram posts following the episode, sharing where their relationship stands today.
Alongside a photo of the duo at one of her live podcast events, Monique reflected on her reaction to Karen’s comments, as well as the fact that she was unable to attend her event during the episode.
“Back up off my sis @officialkarenhuger! This woman has shown me more love CONSISTENTLY than any other woman in this circle! She said what SHE would have done and that’s that. Also, as you see in the sneak peak, I was very emotional at that time and dealing with a lot,” wrote Monique. “I hated that my girl couldn’t make my third show (I was being greedy) but guess what —she was at the first 2 @notforlazymoms live events that I’ve done (2018 and 2019). Right by my side and supporting me every step of the way. This is a Grande Dame STAN account and that won’t ever change. Love you sis. Now make sure y’all grab a bottle of La Dame because it’s officially on sale at BLOOMINGDALES!”
Karen replied to Monique’s post in the comment section, writing, “We all are human! You don’t have to explain yourself to anyone. It was a very raw and emotional time for you and Candiace. I get it and thank God that I’m made of TEFLON,” adding a kiss face emoji.
Later, Karen shared a post of her own, writing, “Monique, so sad that I had to miss your second Not For Lazy Moms event. The hubby and I can’t wait to take the mike and support you again soon!”
Monique replied, “Thank you sis! My greedy a** wanted all your time sunni. Totally didn’t even consider the other 2 live event you showed up and showed out for! Love you babe! You’re a real one and thank you for loving me through my ‘human’ moments always.”
