Millionaire Matchmaker Team Hands Out Celebrity Valentines
Mariah & Nick, Ashton and Demi are built to last.
If you're starting to get the feeling that your Valentine's Day is going to be less an organic and honest expression of love and more a calculated strategic maneuver in the ongoing chess match of your relationship, don't worry -- that's apparently how a lot of celebs approach their love life 24/7, according to The Millionaire Matchmaker's Rachel Federoff and Destin Pfaff.
"Rachel and I know celebrities that have gotten divorced specifically to generate news, and then get back together again," Destin tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal, adding that more women cheat more than men but "It just seems like men cheat more, because we suck at it."
But, before you put that final nail in cupid's coffin, the husband and wife matchmaking duo say that some oh-so-in-love A-listers are the real deal. Like who? They both declare Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson as "phenomenal," as are Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, Heidi Klum and Seal, and Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick.
"I hate to say this," laughs Rachel, "but Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon [are a good couple]."
Meanwhile Destin believes that Ashton Kutcher and wife Demi Moore display "a bizarre healthiness," despite rumors that they follow iron-clad monogamy.
So what does it take to land yourself a famous guy or gal? Total obedience!
"[Rich men] like to order people," Rachel says (so do us normals, though we only get that luxury in restaurants). "They have the same people every time. They order it."
But wealthy, powerful women want things their way or the highway. And if a guy doesn't agree, an alpha female will "run to the top of a mountain and shout how pissed off they are," explains Rachel.
