Lisa Vanderpump Responds to Lala's Michael Vick's Dogs Comment
Lala Kent also issued an apology about the Vanderpump Rules show moment.
When Lala Kent decided to take on Raquel Leviss at Katie Maloney-Schwartz's wine night this season on Vanderpump Rules, she compared herself to one of Michael Vick's pitbulls, a reference to the fighting dogs the one-time football player owned.
She's since apologized to Raquel for letting her emotions get the best of her — and when she was on the April 7 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen she also apologized for using that analogy.
"Let me be very clear, I own two pitbulls. My mother works for the Humane Society of Utah. I feel that actions speak louder than words. I did not mean anything. I'm a pitbull advocate. I love and adore those animals. So it wasn't about that," she said. "They're just words. Let's think about my actions."
Lala's actions include volunteering at LVP's Vanderpump Dogs. And on Tuesday's WWHL, Lisa Vanderpump stood up for Lala, saying that people may not realize how committed she is to helping animals.
"She said it, but, once again, I will say about Lala, she is one of the most committed of everybody to the dog rescue," Lisa said. "So, yes, it was a careless comment. I hate that guy. That guy absolutely epitomizes everything we stand against. But Lala and her mother are really, really dog lovers."
LVP also noted that Lala "does say stupid s--t."
