Lisa Vanderpump Goes Reggae With Help From Lionel Richie
The RHOBH diva's feelin' irie.
Lisa Vanderpump's been bitten by the Real Housewives recording bug. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star just recorded a reggae version of "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?" after dreaming up the idea with her friend Lionel Richie. Yes, you read that correctly.
Lisa went on Ryan Seacrest's show on KIIS-FM Monday to air the song, and told the story of how her tune was hatched. According to Lisa, she and Lionel were having dinner and came up with the idea for her to release a single she first recorded karaoke style.
Is she going to ditch the restaurant business and become a full-time chanteuse? Lisa told Ryan it was all in good fun and she doesn't plan on doing any more songs.
(Check out other musical masterworks from some of Lisa's fellow Real Housewives.)
The song was written by Carole King and made famous by The Shrielles, and has been covered by everyone from Amy Winehouse to Dusty Springfield to Cher to Debbie Gibson (so now you know what they all have in common with Lisa, in case it comes up). Those are some mighty big pink stilettos to fill, but Lisa's taking the whole matter lightly. The sassy Brit says, "It's just a different play on an old classic, and he liked the vocal, and so, there we have it... I think that's the only song, I'll ever make."
