Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula Address Those "Triggering" Cheating Rumors

After speculation circulated online that Kyle had an affair over the summer, he set the record straight at the Summer House Season 7 reunion.

Following a dramatic finale featuring a showdown between Lindsay Hubbard and Danielle Olivera, a major decision for Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover's future, and the beginning of the end of Mya Allen's relationship with Oliver Gray, the Summer House cast got together in New York City to film the Season 7 reunion

How to Watch

Watch Summer House on Bravo Thursdays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

During Part 1 of the two-part special, which aired on May 29, the cast chatted with host Andy Cohen about some of the biggest moments from the season — and about a few things that happened when the cameras stopped rolling.

One of these topics that wasn't on the show turned out to be the rumor that circulated online accusing Kyle Cooke of having a secret affair during the prior summer.

For Kyle and wife Amanda Batula, the cheating rumor proved to be "triggering," because the two dealt with the Loverboy founder's infidelity earlier on in the relationship (which viewers saw play out on Season 3).

The couple addressed the speculation head-on during the reunion.

"According to the internet, I've had affairs, I think, with Sam [Feher], Mya, Ciara [Miller], so... I think the internet's a powerful drug," Kyle said. "Obviously, any time that comes around, it's triggering for Amanda."

Kyle wasn't the only one who spoke out against the rumor. Lindsay came to his defense, saying "There's just no way that Kyle has any time to have a full-blown affair over summer."

Kyle and Amanda had previously denied the rumors when the latter spouse appeared as a guest on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in February 2023.

"I laughed at it," Amanda said about how she reacted to seeing the cheating claim circulate online, later adding that she "live[s] with him" and, therefore, knows what he's doing at all times.

"There wasn't a night not accounted for..." Kyle confirmed about what he was doing the prior summer. "Come on."

In addition to denying the infidelity rumor on the first part of the reunion, Kyle and Amanda also shared a positive update on their relationship. After Andy pointed out that the spouses didn't fight at all during the summer, Amanda revealed the reason why.

"We didn't have to plan a wedding," Amanda joked. "That was magical."

Amanda went on to say that Kyle's matured since he turned 40 last summer.

"I think it's twofold with our marriage and adopting our two dogs," Amanda said about the changes she's seen in her husband. "He's become very patient with them and, in turn, he's become very patient with me, too. We're able to communicate better together."

When Andy wondered if that meant that Kyle was "inching towards fatherhood," Amanda said yes. "He's getting there," she added.

You can tune in to Part 2 of the reunion on June 5 on Bravo, or the next day on Peacock.
