Kim Zolciak to NeNe Leakes: I Miss You Girl!
The former 'RHOA' star says she misses her bestie.
Now that she's on the outs with Cynthia Bailey, NeNe Leakes might be in the market for a new BFF. Could frenemy Kim Zolciak be interested in applying?
Kim is clearly feeling nostalgic for the days when the original Real Housewives of Atlanta castmates were close girlfriends. This week she posted a photo of herself with NeNe and wrote, “You know where this friendship started?!!! LA Fitness,” she explained of meeting NeNe before they made their Housewives debut. Kim added that NeNe, “had [me] laughing so hard I could barely lift a weight!” She included the hashtags, “#missyougirl #youballeryou #proudofyou #wecamealongway.”
RHOA fans know it’s been a winding road for Kim and NeNe. Although they came into the show as friends, by the first RHOA reunion special, they were on the outs. Their fall-out created many an Internet meme (and emoji!) including the classic lines "Close your legs to married men!" and "Go to bed, Wig!"
But last year, the two shared a tearful reunion at NeNe’s wedding. Kim thanked the bride for the invitation and told her she loved her. Later, NeNe said of the reunion, "We've been through so much. I was so happy...I was so proud of Kim for showing up and being there for me. It was amazing. It felt really good and it felt right."
Most Instagram commenters were thrilled to see Kim shout-out her on-again/off-again pal with comments like, "I'm so happy to see you guys back on good terms, you two were truly friends." But others were quick to remind Kim why their friendship ended in the first place: "Remember when NeNe ripped your wig off!? #yeah"
