We Weren't Ready for This Epic Photo of Kim Zolciak with Dark Curly Hair
The Don't Be Tardy alum made our jaws drop with this drastically different hair look.
Since Kim Zolciak-Biermann entered the Bravoverse for Season 1 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, we always saw her with bright blonde hair (and wigs, of course, as she discusses in the video above). In the past, however, Kim used to rock extra dark, curly brown hair before she took on a bleach blonde 'do in the 2000s.
In the photo below, we were shocked to see the Don't Be Tardy alum in her younger days with voluminous, curly dark hair. The Pensacola, Florida, native (who grew up in Windsor Locks, Connecticut) is seen in the photo in what appears to be a classroom, wearing a school uniform and a teased-up hair look.

In several old photos we gathered here, Kim rocked the dark brunette look, often in a voluminous teased-up style (it was the '90s!).
Kim Zolciak tries a new brunette hue
Though Kim has always worn a light blonde hairstyle in more recent years, over the summer, went back to her roots with a deep brunette 'do.
Kim's oldest daughter, Brielle Biermann, showed off Kim with the look via her Instagram Stories, sharing a photo of Kim with the color and writing, "[B]runette Kimmy????"
In the snapshot, Kim rocked the dark, long, deep brunette tresses that she tousled. Brunette then recorded a video of her mom with the new hair (that was likely a wig), gushing about how "stunning" her mom looked.
"So, my midlife crisis is working out for me or — ?" Kim joked about her jaw-dropping hair change.
Brielle then quipped, "I never thought 53 could look so good on someone," which caused Kim to grimace. "Really, sweetie?"
(Just for the record, Kim was born on May 19, 1978, and isn't 53, but 46.)
Kim Zolciak shows off her "real hair"
In addition to the brunette style Kim rocked in June, back in February, the Atlanta resident revealed her "real hair" in a photo. Since Kim has a penchant for wearing wigs, this was somewhat of a revelation for her followers.
"So many questions! YES this is all my real hair!!" she wrote over the photo of her blonde, lightly tousled locks. Kim also pointed to some of her favorite hair products during the social media conversation with her fans.
