Why Kim Richards Was Conflicted About Kyle Richards Attending Her Daughter Whitney’s Wedding
Plus, find out if Kyle (and Kathy Hilton) ultimately went to Whitney Davis' wedding.
Kyle Richards turned to a familiar face to discuss her strained relationship with her sister, Kathy Hilton, on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13, Episode 10: her other sister, Kim Richards.
The alum made a cameo when visiting Kyle at her house on the January 3 episode. Once there, the two got to talking about the upcoming wedding of Kim's daughter, Whitney Davis, and before long, the conversation turned to Kathy.
To hear Kim's concerns about Kyle and Kathy attending Whitney's wedding as well as the advice she gave Kyle, keep reading.
Why Kim Richards Was Nervous to Invite Both Kim and Kathy to Whitney's Wedding
After sharing how "excited" she was to see her daughter marry her longtime boyfriend Luke White, Kim broached the topic of Kyle's potential attendance at the wedding. "I think that what I'm saying is I don't want anybody coming there that isn't in a good place with somebody," Kim explained.
Taking the hint, Kyle responded, "I would always be — I mean, obviously I haven't seen Kathy; well, actually, I saw her at the Elton John Oscar party — but I would always be polite, always be nice."
Kim started to express that she didn't want anyone to "overlook" their problems, which prompted Kyle to note, "I'm not fighting."
Kyle Richards' Thoughts on Reconciling with Kathy Hilton
Just because Kyle doesn't want to "fight" about the RHOBH Season 12 drama that went down between her and Kathy, that doesn't mean she's necessarily ready to forgive her sister, either. As she explained in a confessional interview, "When Kathy came to my house that day because of what happened in Aspen, I really wanted to accept the apology and be able to move on. But it was the behavior after that really told me she wasn't really sorry."
Kim picked up on this, so she told Kyle, "I'm only here because I love you and I love her and I want this to work."
"I miss my family," she continued. "I miss our lunches. I miss our barbecues. I miss our fun together as a family."
"But what if I don't want that relationship?" Kyle replied. "I mean, obviously if Kathy did take accountability and reached out to me and was genuine and wanted to repair our relationship, I would 100 percent be open to that. I'm just not willing to be mistreated."
That, and "I'm scared to let her back in," Kyle added.
Kim Richards' Advice for Kyle About Kathy Hilton
After hearing her sister's concerns, Kim ultimately told Kyle, "If you don't even try, then you just go the rest of your life and never know ... I don't know that either one of you want to try and I don't know that either one of you don't want to try, but I think it's so silly."
"And I'll tell you one thing, mom never wanted this kind of stuff," Kim added, getting teary-eyed. "She was all about us sticking together. Friends come and go and people come and go, but family stays. And that was mom. And I understand her more now than I ever did."
