Kenya Moore Produces Her Marriage License with Marc Daly During RHOA Reunion
"This is gonna be a reunion of exposure," Kenya said about the RHOA Season 12 reunion.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta ladies were all about the receipts during the Season 12 reunion. Part 1, which aired on May 10, had no shortage of proof being offered up by the cast to Andy Cohen, and Kenya Moore made sure she brought a significant document to the virtual sit-down with the ladies.
Before the reunion even kicked off, Kenya declared, "This is gonna be a reunion of exposure." And she kept her word once she sat down to hash out this season's events.
After there had been questions by Nene Leakes about the validity of her marriage to Marc Daly during the season, Kenya offered up the ultimate proof during the reunion. Kenya already defended their nuptials previously, but took that argument to the next level during Part 1 of the RHOA Season 12 reunion by producing her marriage certificate.
"I am legally married," Kenya shared, before providing the proof. "So, Andy, if you ask me nicely I might produce a receipt that is my marriage certificate. You can see the bride and the groom, the date, the stamp. OK? So there's my marriage certificate to all the haters who care."
Kenya and Marc announced their separation in 2019 after two years of marriage. Their marital woes played out during Season 12 of RHOA. Kenya shared where things currently stand with Marc, who is in NYC where he owns a restaurant while she is in Atlanta with their daughter, Brooklyn Daly, amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
"We're working on it. We're in counseling and Marc has made a made a complete 360. He just seems like he's fighting for his family and that's all I ever wanted him to do," she said at the reunion, noting they are doing therapy virtually. "I had blocked him and then he started to ask to speak with me and send me emails and just become more humble in the relationship and he just basically said he really wants to work on it."
When Andy noted that perhaps Marc is making a change after watching the show this season, Kenya said: "I think you can start to open your mind up to the possibility of 'yeah I was wrong' or 'that's not how I want to be perceived' and maybe that is partially why."
She also tearfully explained why she may seem more subdued around Marc. "When it comes to my family [and] when it comes to somebody I really care about, I love, I'm not a fighter like that," she said. "I'm not gonna be combative when it comes to people I know that don't care about me, yeah I'm gonna fight them all day long with everything I have."
