Kenya Moore and Marc Daly Reunite for Daughter Brooklyn's 1st Birthday Amid Divorce News
"God blessed my existence with you and daddy," The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom gushed.
No matter what's going on in Kenya Moore and Marc Daly's relationship, they will always be there for their daughter, Brooklyn Doris Daly.
Following the news of The Real Housewives of Atlanta couple's separation in September, Kenya and Marc came together for Brooklyn's first birthday during an epic party on Sunday, November 3, complete with face painting and balloon animals. Kenya even got into the spirit by sporting a colorful balloon hat. "Happy Birthday @thebrooklyndaly your mommy and daddy love you beyond any words. You are light of my life, my whole world and my future," Kenya gushed on Instagram. "God blessed my existence with you and daddy. Thank you for choosing us to be your parents."
Brooklyn even got a special treat of flying on an airplane for her "birthday turnup weekend," which was adorably captured by Kenya on Instagram.
Cynthia Bailey and Kandi Burruss kept the good times rolling by sharing the sweetest birthday messages for Brooklyn on Instagram.
Kenya and Marc announced their decision to divorce in September after two years of marriage. "It is with profound sadness that I regret to inform my fans that I am divorcing my husband Marc Daly,” Kenya said in a statement to PEOPLE at the time. “Due to recent and ongoing circumstances, I can no longer continue in the marriage. My sole concern and focus is and will always be my daughter, Brooklyn, my miracle baby. She was made in love and true commitment. I ask for our privacy to be respected moving forward.“
Marc said in a separate statement to PEOPLE: “I have come to the difficult decision to separate from Kenya at this time. Our daughter has two parents that love her very much and in her best interests, this situation should remain as private as possible. I cherish our family’s good times together and will continue to co-parent in a loving way. Rumors, innuendo or false accusations only serve to hurt our family and will be addressed through counsel as the law permits. Please respect our privacy during this challenging period.”
Kenya confirmed during an interview with PEOPLE at the end of October that neither she nor Marc have filed for divorce yet. In fact, she still remains hopeful that they can get their marriage back on track. “I didn’t get married to quit,” Kenya told PEOPLE. “I love my husband. I don’t doubt that he loves me. Let me be clear, I took my vows seriously. I believe in for better and for worse and I believe in trying it all before you walk away, especially when we do have a child and we are a family.”
The RHOA entrepreneur also told PEOPLE that she and Marc found it increasingly difficult to split their time between her home in Atlanta and his in New York City after Brooklyn was born last year. “I’ll always want Marc to be in Brooklyn’s life,” Kenya shared.
Kenya also opened up about how amazing of a father Marc is in a video first shared exclusively with Bravo Insider members, above. "Marc is a phenomenal dad to Brooklyn. He is completely and absolutely in love with her. He has been spoiling her and I really just can't stand that part, but the good part is that he's a really loving and doting dad," she said. "If he's not there, he's FaceTiming her several times a day. It's just a really beautiful thing to see. To have wanted this for so long and for it to actually be my reality, is really kind of beautiful."
Brooklyn has also helped bring Kenya and Porsha Williams closer together, as we saw during the RHOA Season 12 premiere. Check out the Georgia Peaches' emotional moment, below.
