Kandi Teases What Caused NeNe's Reunion 'Breakthrough'
The 'RHOA' star is spilling the tea on the upcoming sit-down with the ladies.
O.M.G! Things are about to get real for the ladies of Real Housewives of Atlanta when part one of the season 7 reunion special premieres on April 26.
In a teaser that debuted last week, fans got to see a sneak peek of what drama will go down on the highly-anticipated episode—including NeNe Leakes' very emotional reaction to a conversation concerning her family. Co-star Kandi Burruss is now opening up about what exactly caused the Broadway star to break down.
"Well, she had a breakthrough," Kandi tells New York Live. "She was bringing some things from her past that really struck a nerve with her. She was talking about in her childhood and things that happened. And her father... she never really talked about that before. It just brought a different emotion."
In addition to the three-part reunion special, Kandi has something else on the horizon. Kandi's Ski Trip is slated to premiere on May 17, and she claims we have a lot to look forward to—including a potential bonding session between Todd and Momma Joyce. Hey, anything can happen when you hit the slopes!
"It's my family," she says. "We're trying to blend our families, Todd and I. So some of his family members and mine, the Old Lady Gang, my mom, even some of our friends and people that work for us. Everyone is on a trip together, trying to mend some of the broken relationships and get things back on track. And we're skiing, so it's funny to see women that are in their sixties and seventies on snowmobiles, it's hilarious."
