Kandi Burruss Reveals How She’s Been Able to Experience Blaze’s Milestones During the Pandemic
The RHOA cast member opens up about the moment she was "so happy" to see for herself.
Kandi Burruss is a busy and loving mom of three kids, as well as a proud stepmom to husband Todd Tucker's daughter, so when the pandemic happened this year it gave the entrepreneur and multi-hyphenate performer the chance to slow down and get in more family time.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member sat down with Steve Harvey for an episode of STEVE on Watch and she opened up about how being home more due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has made her more present for the small — and big — moments as her kids, especially for her baby daughter, Blaze, grow up.
“For people like us who travel a lot and we work a lot... my biggest fear was that I would miss her first steps or a moment like that," she said about the big moment that took place in late September.
At the time, Kandi shared video of Blaze walking to Instagram, adding, "She did it! [Blaze] took her first couple of steps! She hasn’t even crawled but she decided to walk first. I’m so glad I didn’t miss this moment. I’m smiling from ear to ear right now!"
During her sit-down with Steve, Kandi said, “I was about to hit a flip in that house when she walked to me and that was her first steps - I was so excited, I was so happy that I was here for it.”
It's definitely a busy time of year for Kandi with a new season of RHOA coming next month. Season 13 premieres on Sunday, December 6 at 8/7c. Check out a trailer below. Want more RHOA? Catch up on Peacock.
