Kandi Burruss Is Feeling "So Much Love" For Her Latest Project
The RHOA cast member is producing a groundbreaking new Broadway play.
Kandi Burruss is getting “so much love” for her exciting new project. The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom recently took to Instagram to celebrate the opening weekend of previews for the new Broadway play she’s producing, Thoughts of a Colored Man.
Back in June, Kandi confirmed that she had joined the producing team of the theatrical show, which was created by playwright Keenan Scott III and stars Broadway's first all-Black, male cast. Now, the RHOA entrepreneur is feting the launch of the new play, commemorating its opening night of previews on Instagram.
“I’m so excited y’all!” she captioned a photo of the marquee. “It’s the first night of previews for #ThoughtsOfAColoredMan! Come through and check out the show at #TheGoldenTheater in Manhattan NY! #Broadway.”
She also shared a snapshot with the cast, writing, “On tv these guys have played some real hardcore gangstas but tonight we’re all smiles because @coloredmanplay’s first night was AMAZING!!!!! @curtisscook @davinchi @wolfjames @mackwilds.”
Plenty of guests came out to show their support for the new show, as Kandi also captured on Instagram. “So much love for #ThoughtsOfColoredMan this past weekend!” she captioned one photo. “My sister @whododatlikedat is also a producer on the show. We’re so happy to see @im.angelabassett @ledisi @lashanalynch & @mrbradybaby all came out to support & catch the show! @keenanthemuse you wrote an amazing piece!”
