John Mellencamp Responds to Denise’s Alleged Comments About Teddi Living in His Shadow
RHOBH cast member Denise Richards has since addressed Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave's father's response.
On the July 22 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, alum Brandi Glanville made some comments about Denise Richards, including some comments she allegedly had about Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave, which you can see in the clip above.
“She doesn’t like you at all,” Brandi said to Teddi. “She’s said horrible things about you. You’re obnoxious, you’ll do anything to be in this group because you’ve lived under your dad’s shadow your whole life...it was just mean.”
In an interview during the episode, Teddi responded to the claims, saying, “I gave her the opportunity to come clean on however she’s feeling. Say it to my face, because I know the way I’ve been feeling, I’ve said to your face.” As the episode aired, Teddi continued to respond to the alleged comments on Twitter, writing, “Alexa, play ‘Shadow’ by Ashlee Simpson.”
She also tweeted, “If I knew I was going to be insulted like this, I would have at least brushed my hair.”
Lastly, Teddi shared a screenshot of a text conversation with her father, John Mellencamp. Mellencamp’s text reads, “I know you are busy living in my shadow but…” and included a photo of the father-daughter duo, with the caption “Dennis Richards - never heard of him.” Teddi responded to her father’s text with, “You know who DENISE is dad."
On July 23, Denise responded to Teddi’s conversation with her father, sharing a screenshot of the tweet to her Instagram account. “I never said you live in your dad’s shadow. Ever. I don’t care what you were told,” wrote Denise.
