James Kennedy Felt "Very Uncomfortable" About Lala Kent Returning to WWHL Without Him

Is James Kennedy ‘The White Kanye’?

James Kennedy just doesn't have a lot of luck with invitations these days. After a season filled with his Vanderpump Rules castmates excluding him from get-togethers, the DJ wasn't invited back to Watch What Happens Live with his fellow banned guest Lala Kent on Wednesday.

Well, it never feels good to be left out, and James admitted that he didn't understand why he wasn't asked back to the show with his castmate. “When I first heard about Lala getting on Watch What Happens Live, I must say I was a little confused as to why she was invited back and I wasn’t," he said in an interview with The Real Mr. Housewife published Friday. “I thought she was given another chance and I wasn’t and that made me feel very uncomfortable and on edge about the whole situation."

But James doesn't have any hard feelings toward Lala. “However after I saw how great she looked and after how great she made her comeback from the last time I was very proud and happy for her,” he said. “Lala and I are close friends that definitely have a soft spot for one another regardless of what was said this past season.”

Getting the chance to be the WWHL bartender via a cardboard cutout of himself was at least a nice consolation prize. “I also was kind of excited about having my very own cut out by the bar, (as I) thought that was hilarious!” James said.

Even though James didn't appear on Wednesday night's WWHL, he was still a hot topic of conversation, especially that comment about being "the white Kanye West" (clip above). He's gotten some hate for it, but James is still standing by what he said. “I think I’m like him in the sense that I explore sound, I want to create something nobody has ever heard or seen before and I have nothing stopping me, the only thing that could possibly stop me is myself,” James explained. “Life is what you make it and I respect what he has made for himself, not to mention I do make some fire music in the studio regardless of what the haters want to say. I know I do.”

In fact, James doesn't think there's much of a difference between him and Yeezy at all. “The only thing Kanye West and I don’t have in common is that I don’t mind the paparazzi,” he said.

James recently released his own remix of Kanye's "Fade" on SoundCloud. His next track will be "Feeling You," featuring Lala. The SURvers gave a sneak peek of that single during the Vanderpump Rules After Show, which you can check out, below.
