Is Jenna Lyons Engaged After THAT Ring Photo? What She Told Andy Cohen
The RHONY cast member posted a photo showing a rock on her left ring finger, setting the internet abuzz with rumors.
Love is in the air, and rumors are abuzz since Jenna Lyons of The Real Housewives of New York City posted a cryptic selfie on her social media.
Jenna took to Instagram on Saturday, September 23, 2023, posting a black and white photo of her and her girlfriend, Cass Bird. But what especially caught followers’ attention — beyond the couple’s adorable selfie — was the big, beautiful rock on Jenna’s left ring finger.
Could it mean what we think it means?
Are Jenna Lyons and Cass Bird engaged?
Jenna captioned the photo with, “I’ll take the French fries and steak au poivre,” the latter commonly referred to in Europe as the black pepper steak. The fashion icon tagged Bird in the pic, adding a sparkling heart emoji.
While the two both looked stunning, it was hard not to notice the beautiful ring on Jenna's finger. However, PEOPLE claims it is not an engagement ring.
“She’s not engaged,” a source close to Jenna allegedly told PEOPLE.“She’s had that ring forever, and though it does look like an engagement ring, it’s not.”
Still, the photo earned enough buzz to get some to assume the Housewife said “I do” while away in France.
“Congratssssss! To you and Cass and whoever’s beautiful severed hand got that gorgeous [ring],” joked Jenna’s friend, Schitt’s Creek actor Emily Hampshire. Hampshire included two hearts and diamond and ring emojis to complete her comment.
Naturally, Andy Cohen had to ask her about it when she appeared on the October 15 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
“I just really … so, basically, here is the story. My girlfriend, who I adore, kept telling me that I had to button my shirt. And I said, ‘If you want me to button my shirt, you have to put a ring on it,'” Jenna said.
But when Andy asked her to clarify, she simply said, “I’m very happy.”
Jenna Lyons' Trip to Paris
Jenna’s buzz-worthy selfie was one of several black-and-white photos posted since arriving in Paris, and just in time for Paris Fashion Week, which began Monday, Sept. 25. Jenna posted a “thirst trap” photo of Bird, accompanied with gray heart emojis and showing Bird drinking from a glass bottle, her hair draped over a cushion and wearing a sweatshirt.

Jenna called her “beautiful baby.”
“I have literally never looked so good,” Bird commented. “I love you.”
Quite the compliment coming from the professional photographer, whose work regularly appears in Elle, Vogue, and Harper’s Bazaar.
After posting the selfie of her and Bird, Jenna published a video clip of herself undressed in bed, speaking French when placing "dinner reservations" over a landline phone (is there anything Jenna can’t do?).
It sounded as though Jenna was inviting a third party to join her and Bird for dinner. In the post, she called Bird, “brilliantist brilliant beautiful.”
“Why are you torturing me,” commented Housewife Brynn Whitfield, who recently joked with Andy on WWHL that Jenna would make her sign a prenuptial agreement.
But not even Heather Gay from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City could contain her awe, posting emojis of a melting face and a flame.
Jenna mentioned Cass Bird in another black and white photo of the Housewife dressed sharp as knives near a window. This time, Jessel commented with a bunch of red hearts.
Here’s hoping the love birds enjoyed their stay in the city of love.
