Dorinda Medley Explains How She Knows MDLNY's Steve Gold
The RHONY alum teases her appearance on Million Dollar Listing New York Season 9.
Dorinda Medley is ready for her close-up... again. Well, she's at least ready to hang out with Big Apple real estate broker Steve Gold during Season 9 of Million Dollar Listing New York for a brief time. Her appearance on the show was teased in the trailer (below), and now The Daily Dish has heard from The Real Housewives of New York City alum herself about just how it all happened.
"I am [on the season]. That was great. You know, Steve and I are good friends. And he’s very good friends with a whole group of friends that I have. We kind of all know each other," Dorinda explained. (As you can see in the photo, above, they even hung out at Fashion Week together back in 2019.) "And, he was up in Middle Brook [New York]. He spends a lot of time upstate. So it was fun when he asked me to do that. And to tell you the truth, I totally forgot about it until I saw myself on TV the other day. I was like, 'That’s weird.'"
Dorinda's not the only RHONY alum to pop up on MDLNY this season. During the May 6 season premiere, Kelly Killoren Bensimon made a cameo as well.
As for Dorinda, she noted that she's always felt totally at ease in front of the cameras — and this is exactly why. "[I've been] saying this. But I feel nothing when I’m in front of the cameras. It’s very natural to me. Like, I realized the first day I started filming with Housewives. I just, I like the camera, and the camera likes me. I don’t really act, I don’t really think about it. I mean, and when I was, you know, [on the show], I didn’t barely put on makeup. I would literally be laying in my bed, and they’d just be like, 'OK, we got to mic you.' I’m like, 'OK, let’s do it.' So for me, it’s very easy. I don’t really like get nervous or anything," she said.
With her cameo on MDLNY this season and her six seasons spent on the Housewives previously, is there a chance Dorinda would consider a full-time return to TV? "Well, you never know, right? You never know. Every year’s a new thing," she said.
Well, for now, fans can not only get their Dorinda fix on MDLNY at some point this season but also when she releases her memoir, Make It Nice, this August.
