Hilary Duff Joins Andy Cohen on Tinder
The newly single actress admits it's really her on the popular dating app.
Tinder may allow you to peruse your everyday potential hookup…and now possibly your childhood crush.
As a guest on On Air With Ryan Seacrest earlier this week, starlet and newly single Hilary Duff admitted she’s joined the popular dating app. “It’s totally me on Tinder,” she confesses. “It kind of started out to be a joke with some of my girlfriends. I was like, “Explain this whole thing to me because it’s kind of blowing my mind.’”
The former Lizzie McGuire star is in good company: our own Andy Cohen revealed last month that he’s also looking for love on the app. “I have no shame in my game. I’m there swiping,” he told People. “You know, it’s to me: Where am I going to meet an architect who lives in Brooklyn besides Tinder at this point? It’s the modern-day singles bar.”
Although Hilary’s friends doubted her ability to join due to her celebrity status, Hilary assures that hasn’t limited her interactions with suitors. “I was talking to a few of the guys and they were really normal,” she says. “And I was like, why can’t I be a part of something totally normal?”
And the swiping is paying off! Hilary recently went on a Tinder date that she described as “awesome.” Now she’s hooked. “I’m just a Tinder animal!” she jokes. “I had my Tinder training wheels on for my first date. Now it’s smooth sailing.”
One Bravolebrity who won’t be joining Hilary and Andy on the dating app? Bethenny Frankel. The Real Housewives of New York star recently admitted that swiping really isn’t her speed. “I’m not interested in that kind of matchmaking or online dating right now,” she tells Huffington Post. “It’s something that’s not appealing to me.”
