Gretchen Rossi Opens up About Celebrating Her First Mother's Day
The RHOC alum welcomed her first child, Skylar Gray Smiley, in July.
Gretchen Rossi just had her first Mother’s Day! The Real Housewives of Orange County alum welcomed her first child with Slade Smiley on July 10, and now, she’s opening up about what it was like to celebrate the holiday for the first time with her adorable daughter, Skylar Gray.
On May 10, Gretchen shared a series of photos with Slade and Skylar, who spent the day celebrating at the family’s Costa Mesa home, which was beautifully decorated with balloons and flowers. “Thank you Skylar for choosing me to be your Mommy!” Gretchen wrote in a caption alongside the photos. “I couldn’t have asked for a more special gift than you! It was such a special 1st Mother’s Day with my little princess and the love of my life @sladesmileyofficial.”
Gretchen went on to explain that family and friends from all over had sent caring messages and gorgeous gifts, which made the day even more memorable. She thanked them, writing: “I felt so loved by not only these two today but by so many friends and family. Thank you to everyone who reached out and sent me special messages, to everyone who sent such thoughtful gifts and so many incredible flowers.”
“Felt soo beyond blessed and extra special today...so thank you all!” she continued. “Sending all those incredible mothers out there, (including my own) so much love and light.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Phaedra Parks commented to share some love for Gretchen, writing, “What a gorgeous picture! I hope you had a great Mother’s Day!”
