Over the years, Gia's interests developed (though she did impress viewers with her singing performance of "Waking Up in the Morning" on Season 3, Episode 16), and she's now contemplating going to law school while also seeing success as an influencer.

During an appearance on the August 5 episode of the Trading Secrets podcast, Gia opened up about her finances, and how she's largely independent from her mom and her dad, Joe Giudice

"I am completely on my own in the way of — besides my living situation. I still do live [at] home with my family — but financially, I do cover everything myself," Gia said about residing at the house Teresa shares with her husband, Luis "Louie" Ruelas. "I don't really get money from my parents anymore."

What's more, Gia recently made her first major purchase: leasing her car. As Teresa's eldest explained, her mom told her, "When you graduate college, then your next car is on you."

While she was able to use sister Gabriella Giudice's car when she was away for her freshman year at the University of Michigan, things changed when Gabrielle returned home in May for the summer.

"I wanted to save all these months because my dream car has always been a Porsche, so I was like, 'This is what I want to do.' And I was able to do that," Gia continued on the podcast. "That was, like, one of the biggest accomplishments that I was able to get myself a car, and I felt like I was signing my life away with all the dealership papers."

Gia reiterated that she pays for most of her lifestyle, adding, "Financially, I really am on my own, and that's also a big misconception. People don't think I'm on my own. People think that I live off of Mommy and Daddy's money."

Gia Giudice teases her next career move

As for how she prepares to grow her net worth, Gia confirmed that her ideal next step is to start "investing [in] properties" in New Jersey.

She said that her dad got started in his career by investing in real estate, and her goal is to buy a two family home and "take out a mortgage and start it from there."
