Erika Girardi Hopes Her Relationship with Her Mom Is Something People "Will Be Able to Relate To"

We may never get the chance to meet her son on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but Erika Girardi let fans in on another side of her life that we haven't gotten the chance to see before. On Tuesday's RHOBH, Erika had a tear-filled chat with her mom, during which they opened up about their relationship and how she was sometimes tough on the singer when she was a kid. It was a discussion that offered some insight into why Erika comes off as "cold" and isn't quick to shed a tear. Her mom was quick to shut that accusation down, pointing out just how much she's done for her family.

When the Daily Dish spoke to Erika about the emotional meeting, she revealed why it was important for her to share this part of her life with the audience. "Well I think that it was important for people to see just a little more human side and my roots of where I came from. And I asked my mother if she would do this for me and she said yes," Erika shared about the encounter. "And we have a couple of touching moments and a couple of very telling moments, which I wasn't really prepared for."

Peeling back this layer wasn't an easy decision for Erika by any means. In the end, though, she thinks it's a candid moment that she hopes others can relate to. "I was very hesitant. I didn't want to do it, but I ended up doing it," she said. "And I think a lot of people will be able to relate to my mother's and I's relationship."
