Dorit Kemsley Still Has Feelings About Kyle Richards' Tattoos
The mother of two opened up about her relationship with Kyle in Part 2 of the RHOBH Season 13 reunion: "There was a big shift."
There's no question that Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley aren’t as close as they used to be. The former BFFs became increasingly distant last year as Kyle navigated major life changes that raised a few eyebrows among The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast. Season 13 saw the multi-hyphenate being frequently pressed about her shifting marital dynamics, budding friendships, and renewed health kick that some described as “excessive.”
Dorit addressed the lifestyle changes in Part 2 of the RHOBH Season 13 reunion, in which she also touched on Kyle’s new body art.
“There was a big shift,” the mother of two said in a sneak peek. “She was working out incessantly, tattoos — it seemed like she had changed a lot.”

Kyle Richards gets another tattoo alongside Morgan Wade
Kyle received additional ink last year, much to the surprise of Dorit and Kyle’s estranged husband Mauricio Umansky. Season 13, Episode 6 followed Kyle as she stopped by a tattoo parlor alongside her good friend, country music singer Morgan Wade. After getting a tiny Saturn tattoo on her right hip, the Beverly Hills ’Wife took over the tattoo gun a inked the letter “K” on Morgan’s arm — a move that led Dorit to ask, “What is going on, Kyle?”
“My husband put my name on his arm,” Dorit said in an Episode 9 interview. “I don’t know what that says about Kyle tattooing her name on Morgan’s arm, but that is a really, really close friendship.”
While the “K” tattoo left Dorit confused, Kyle’s close friend Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave shared more details about the ink in the October 11, 2023, episode of her and Tamra Judge’s podcast.
“The reason Kyle put a ‘K’ was because then she could add anything else she wanted to it,” Teddi explained. “They thought it would be a funny joke. But then, of course, it now has metamorphosed into so much more.”
Dorit Kemsley feels Kyle Richards replaced her with Morgan Wade
Dorit opened up about her and Kyle’s friendship during her December 6 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, saying she felt that Kyle replaced her with Morgan.
”[Kyle] will kill me,” Dorit said. “But I feel like the closer she got to Morgan the further she got from me. But I don’t think I’m the only one. I just think that… Sorry, Kyle, I love you but it’s the truth! It’s how I feel.”
Kyle Richards reacts to Dorit Kemsley's friendship comments
Kyle addressed the remarks in the January 23 episode of SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live, saying she and Dorit’s friendship was simply “different” than the one she had with Morgan.
“Dorit, obviously we’ve gone through a little bit of a hard time,” she said. “I care about Dorit and [her husband, Paul ‘PK’ Kemsley] and their kids so much, but I just feel hurt. I love Dorit. I mean that I love Dorit, I love her family. But she’s never been, in the years since she joined the show, that girl that I would, you know, [have] the first morning call [with] or going to workout with or going for breakfast.”
