Dorit Kemsley Still Has Questions About *That* Jacket Moment with Denise Richards

Kyle Richards' weed dinner seen on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13 included several dramatic moments, but there was one exchange in particular that Dorit Kemsley is still trying to figure out to this day. 

During the dinner on Episode 7 of the season, Dorit informed Denise Richards that her jacket was upside down, leading Denise to respond, "Don't do this. Don't do this. I know what you're doing. Stop it."

The group revisited the puzzling exchange on Part 2 of the RHOBH Season 13 reunion, when host Andy Cohen asked, "Dorit, what was going through your mind when you were gently trying to correct Denise about the coat?"

"I still, to this day, don't know what was bothering her, what she was thinking," Dorit said. "I still don't."

Kyle and Garcelle Beauvais were quick to offer their insight. "She was thinking that you were being a mean girl and saying her jacket was upside down," Kyle said. "But you were actually trying to help her." 

Garcelle added, "She said every time she sees you, you're fixing something to almost get her off kilter."

On the December 6, 2023, episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Dorit explained, "[The coat] was upside down and I was trying to help a girl out. It was as simple as that."

She also shared her perspective on the conversation with Denise in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13 After Show video above."[Denise's coat] looked a little bit strange and then I was like, 'Oh, no. I think she put it on upside down,'" She said. "I didn't want someone not to say something to her. So I said it quietly."

"I think she thought I was trying to point out that her jacket was upside down, like, to everyone," she continued. "I said it so quietly. I whispered."

Denise and Erika Jayne had a heated conversation with Denise during the same dinner, and in the After Show video above, Erika quipped, "Don't try to come for me with your jacket upside down."

More recently, Cynthia Bailey, who was also a guest at Kyle's dinner, was asked on the March 3 episode of WWHL if she saw the encounter between Dorit and Denise. "I may have actually remembered seeing that it was upside down," she said. "But at that point, I was a little high. So I was like, 'Is it upside down or is it not?'"

On the March 6 episode of WWHL, Denise gave her side of the story. "Every single time I see Dorit, it's always something. She'll say, 'Your lipstick doesn't look right,' 'Your hair's out of [place].'" said Denise, who kicked off the show by jokingly modeling that same coat upside down. "I got to the point, I'm like, 'Who cares?'"
