Did NeNe Leakes Drunk Dial Anderson Cooper?

We couldn't make this stuff up, people. Speaking at PromaxBDA: The Conference 2011, Anderson Cooper explained his first, er, unlikely encounter with The Real Housewives of Atlanta's NeNe Leakes. "I got drunk dialed by NeNe Leakes. I have now met her, but at that point I had never met her," the top-notch journalist told the audience. "So I'm sitting there doing the news and during the commercial break my phone dials and it's NeNe Leakes in the back of a limousine, I think clearly drunk, yelling, 'Don't be tardy to the party.' And that was before Kim Zolciak had the song."

It's all good: Anderson's, in fact, a huge supporter of our Linnethia. "I had talked about her because I was quite impressed by her in her early work on the first season of Housewives. This was pre-book. I think that first season really laid the ground work for her writing career. I had talked about my interest in NeNe a lot, maybe too much."

Now that he's debuting a syndicated daily talk show this fall, the host of Anderson is letting his Housewives flag wave high. "I can fully reveal how much I like the Housewives," he says. "I actually introduced Ellen to The Real Housewives."
