Kenya Moore Explains How DWTS Helped Her Feel Confident Following Her Separation
The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom opens up about her “rebirth” after divorce.
Kenya Moore has dealt with her fair share of ups and downs over the years, including her recent divorce from Marc Daly, with whom she shares 2-year-old daughter, Brooklyn Doris Daly. Now, The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom reveals how being part of Season 30 of Dancing with the Stars is helping her bounce back to become “gone with the wind fabulous” again.
“In a way, this week is really my coming out party,” Kenya wrote in the caption of a recent Instagram post. “Being separated for the last 2 years and going through a public divorce all during Covid really took me out and made me feel undesirable or sexy.”
“Turning 50 has been a rebirth for me,” she added. “I’ve decided to claim my life back… be the strong woman I want to be for myself and my daughter.
Kenya has previously shown love toward her Dancing with the Stars partner, Brandon Armstrong, and recently expressed her gratitude for being part of the dancing competition in another Instagram post. She thanked her fellow Housewives with a special nod to Kandi Burruss, all the fans, and Andy Cohen for their support.
"Thank you #teamtwirl, all the [Bravo] Housewives and their fan base for keeping us dancing and trending #1 each week!" Kenya wrote in the caption. "Kandi, you are the best! Andy, thank you for all the encouragement and cheers!"
Kenya isn’t the only Real Housewife to appear on Dancing with the Stars. She joins the ranks of more than a few 'Wives who’ve competed to win the Mirrorball Trophy over the years, including Lisa Vanderpump, Nene Leakes, Erika Girardi, Lisa Rinna, and Kim Zolciak-Biermann.
