Did Lala Share Audio of Her Baby's First Cries From the Moment She Was Born? "Oh My God"

It appears Vanderpump Rules' Lala Kent captured the first sounds from her second daughter on audio during her birth earlier this week.

Lala Kent is finally a mother of two after giving birth to her second baby on September 3. The Vanderpump Rules cast member took to her Instagram Story a day later, on September 4, where she shared the big news with her followers as well as what appeared to be audio from the moment her daughter was born.

How to Watch

Watch Vanderpump Rules on Peacock and the Bravo app.

You see, Lala chose to not show the newborn baby's face, but instead, it looks like she posted the first sounds from the baby's birth. The Give Them Lala podcast host posted a simple black background with white script font written on top with just one simple sentence: "Welcome into the world, my love." Lala also added the baby's birth date in the corner, "9.3.24."

It seems Lala also captured a bit of the audio from the birth. In the Instagram Story, someone can be heard in the background leading the mom through the birth saying: "Times two, reduce, perfect," before delivering the baby. Several people can be heard saying "Oh my God" before the baby erupts into her first cry. The mom can also be heard sobbing, along with other people in the room.

Lala Kent explains her birth plan with baby number two

It's just a little unclear who was in the delivery room with her, but Lala told The Bump in early August that she wanted as many loved ones there with her as possible. Especially since she didn't get that opportunity when she gave birth the first time to her oldest daughter, Ocean Kent Emmett, in March 2021.

"I plan on having a party in the delivery room," she said. "During Ocean's birth, we were limited due to the pandemic. This time, I'd love to have more visitors. If I could take my exact birth with Ocean and just redo it with this baby, it was flawless."

Lala also revealed that the first VPR cast member she would be introducing to her baby: her BFF, Scheana Shay. "She was the first person I told in person," she explained. "She knew what day I was being inseminated. She's been there through all the ups and downs of this pregnancy. So yeah, she'll be the one that I call where I'm like, 'I'm on the way.'"

Inside Lala Kent's journey to having a second child

In VPR Season 11, cameras documented Lala's decision to get pregnant on her "own." The mom of two decided to use intrauterine insemination (IUI) to conceive baby number two, using the help of a sperm donor, which Lala hand-picked (alongside her friends and cast members) during VPR Season 11 Episode 12.

"This is not how I pictured my life," she said during the episode. "I'm just beyond grateful that this is an option. If there's one thing that I feel like I'm good at in my life, [it's] that I'm a good mama."
