Danielle Staub Asks for Understanding Following Her Ill-Fated Wedding to Marty Caffrey: "This Was Real to Me"
The Real Housewives of New Jersey pal urges fans to "take a minute and realize I’m sharing my life with you."
Danielle Staub's wedding may have looked picture-perfect (yes, even with a few snafus along the way), but as we all know by now, her marriage to Marty Caffrey was anything but a happy ending. And now The Real Housewives of New Jersey pal is looking back on that ill-fated day on Instagram.
"This was real to me. If he was the one for me, we would still be together. You can all pass judgment. You can all say what you need to say and I’m certain the opinions will be strong but I urge you all to take a minute and realize I’m sharing my life with you the ups and downs," she wrote.
She continued, "The good, the bad, the pretty, the ugly, all the parts of me and it’s an honor to do so! I do realize I leave myself open for scrutiny, but the things that my husband has done to my family and I weeks following our wedding breaking his vows he promised to protect keep me safe love me and honor me ...so take a moment to realize no one would know his name if it weren’t for me trusting him to want to be a part of my family and my life."
Danielle then went on to thank her daughters, Christine and Jillian, for their support on her big day as well as the aftermath of ther split from Marty. She also thanked her #bridesquad for being there for her on her big day back in the spring in the Bahamas.
Danielle married longtime boyfriend Marty in May. Quickly, cracks in their relationship began to show, and the couple announced their separation just months after they said, "I do," over the summer. Divorce papers were filed in September.
