Daisy Opens Up on Her Current Status with Colin & Teases Their Reunion Confrontation
The Below Deck Sailing Yacht chief stew reflected on her “very complicated” relationship with the engineer.
On the Season 4 finale of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, which aired on July 10, Daisy Kelliher and Colin MacRae chose to “keep in contact” and “see where it goes” in their relationship following their charter season boatmance.
While viewers will have to tune in to the two-part reunion, which will air on July 17 and July 18, to find out exactly where the two stand today, Daisy did tease her current relationship status during a recent chat with People. Plus, the chief stew looked back on her “complicated” love triangle with Colin and Gary King.
Daisy’s Reflections on Her Love Triangle with Gary and Colin
Before Daisy and Colin hooked up, the interior team crew member had a fling with Gary (which the two kept secret until Episode 10). Looking back, Daisy explained, “Colin was taken [at the time I slept with Gary], and Gary and I get along, and yeah, I guess we have feelings for each other to some level. So that just added so much complicated stuff.”
Colin briefly pulled back after finding out about Daisy and Gary, but Daisy was also “leery” of getting to know the chief engineer on a deeper level because “he does have a lot of girlfriends.”
Once the two did take their friendship to the next level, however, their dynamic got “very complicated,” Daisy added. After they kissed, she said, “It all started to get really, really heavy, really quickly.”
“Unfortunately, it wasn’t smooth sailing, no pun intended,” Daisy added. “I think in an ideal world we would’ve liked each other, we would’ve gotten to know each other and kind of progressed into that. But I did have a history with Gary, and that’s not anyone’s fault.”
Following the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 finale, Daisy opened up on social media about getting some “closure” on her relationship with Colin through watching the final episodes back.
“Not the easiest episodes for me to watch… the tears were real,” Daisy captioned her post, which featured a carousel of images from the final crew night out of the season. “[B]ut finally getting some closure after a couple of tough months… Another epic send off to an epic season with an incredible crew.”
Daisy and Colin’s Relationship Now
After promising to stay in touch on the Season 4 finale despite living in different countries, Daisy had a surprising update on her current status with Colin.
“I don’t want to give too much away, but a lot has happened in the last few weeks and at the moment I don’t expect to hear from him,” she told People, adding, “It’s difficult to not be able to kind of comment on it because I don’t want to spoil anything for the viewers or anything like that. But yeah, a lot has happened in the last year.”
Daisy and Colin’s Reunion Drama
During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Daisy revealed that Colin would have the “most to answer to” at the reunion.
“I feel like he does,” Daisy said, later adding that “things are complicated” between them now.
