Cynthia Bailey: Kandi and I Are in a Good Place
After their explosive fight, Cynthia says the two "rational" ladies were able to move on.
No doubt there are a lot of strong-willed ladies on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. But when two of its most calm, cool, and collected women get in the center of a combative situation, that's when you know things just got real.
On Sunday's episode, the normally levelheaded Kandi Burruss blew up when confronted by Cynthia Bailey's husband Peter and sister Mallory. And when Mallory put her hands on her, Kandi was ready for a full-out fight. "I will drag you in this, bitch!" she yelled before having to be restrained by her fiancé Todd, and Gregg and NeNe Leakes.
Since then, Kandi has taken to Twitter to apologize for her behavior, saying, "Three people were pulling me back & I was going insane.... I so regret it now." Meanwhile, Cynthia also blogged an apology, confessing that she didn't realize at the time that Mallory pushed Kandi.
So how is Kandi and Cynthia's friendship faring after the big blow-up? Luckily, the two RHOA stars seem to have made peace. Cynthia tells E!, "We're in a good place. [The fight] was a hurdle we had to get over. But at the end of the day, she's a rational person and I'm very rational and with time we were able to move past it."
She even goes on to say that she understands Kandi's explosive response. "We're all women, we're all emotional. We all have a snap button. It is what it is."
