Between her play A Mother's Love and her stint acting in the Off-Broadway production Newsical, Kandi Burruss' career is red-hot at the moment. And now the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter is adding another log to the flame: her new single "Let Them Love" got its official release on iTunes today. Stream a snippet below.
The track—a glossy, mid-tempo ballad—seems to mine personal terrain: Kandi belts emotional lyrics about misunderstood romance. "Let a person love who they love," she croons. "'Cus you don't have to be by their side when they wake up...Why would you want to be the cause of someone's break-up?"
Might Kandi be singing about her mother Mama Joyce, who has voiced her disapproval over her engagement to finacé Todd Tucker? "I think my new single is perfect timing for right now!" she Tweeted.
