Cynthia Bailey Sends Love to Former Assistant, Carlton Morton from Love Is Blind
The dating show contestant once appeared on RHOA as Cynthia Bailey's assistant.
If you’re a Real Housewives of Atlanta fan who also watched Love Is Blind, you probably noticed that one of the contestants, Carlton Morton, looked very familiar. He actually began his reality television career a few years ago, when he first appeared on RHOA as Cynthia Bailey’s assistant. (During Season 5, he started a pretty memorable argument with Kenya Moore over the treatment of some aspiring models.)
During her March 8 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Cynthia opened up about what she thought of Carlton’s time on Love Is Blind, and what their relationship is like now.
“I did watch the show,” she revealed. “Looking on the bright side of what I took from the show, I’m glad he came out and is free to be himself and who he wants to be. I don’t agree with the way he handled things, obviously, toward the end of his time on the show.”
While on Love Is Blind, Carlton went through an explosive breakup with fellow contestant, Diamond Jack. Carlton identifies as bisexual, and did not disclose that he had previously dated men until after proposing to Diamond, who was hurt that he hid such personal information from her. The argument that followed became extremely heated, and Carlton has unfortunately dealt with a significant amount of backlash from viewers since the show has been released.
Cynthia explained that she has been trying to support Carlton as he deals with the difficult situation: “I’ve been talking to him and trying to give him some positive counsel because he’s been going through a really tough time.”
