Claudia Jordan Compares Her Foot Corns to...NeNe?
The Atlanta Housewife gets real (and disses her co-star) with Dr. Oz.
Claudia Jordan has made no bones about her foot issues on this season of Real Housewives of Atlanta—and now the actress is opening up about how she's coping. Sort of.
Claudia stopped by The Dr. Oz Show this week to open up about her foot condition. But she also couldn't help but have a little fun at NeNe Leakes' expense.
"My corns are extremely annoying," she said, "but they are nowhere near as obnoxious as Nene Leakes. I can cover my corns up and they don't talk back."
All joking aside, Claudia revealed that the issue began in college when she used to run track. "I was a sprinter," she told the good doctor. "But I would wear track spikes that were like a size too small, because I felt like I gripped the track better. But when I took my shoes off my feet would be irritated and my toes would kind of be like this. Then, I became a model on 'Deal or No Deal' and I was like 19-hour days in heels and a lot of times they would be brand-new shoes. They maybe weren't the best fitting shoes. So a lot of us have feet like dancers."
Ladies may want to take note: Claudia shared that when she invested in more expensive shoes, the problem got worse. So now she has to be mindful of what shoes she wears when she walks down the red carpet. Or, she joked, her feet might "end up on this weird website."
Oz didn't let Claudia go home empty handed. He gifted her with corn cover-ups with NeNe's face on it.
Earlier this year, Claudia opened up about the issue on her blog: "It was quite a "feat" to show my toes on national television, but some good did come out of it. First, several doctors have contacted me to fix my toes for me, practically begging to do it! Second, I have gotten so many messages in my inbox from other young ladies telling me they too suffer and are ashamed of the damage they too have done to their toes from years of wearing uncomfortable shoes. I have established quite the little support group since the big reveal, and NOW more than ever the pressure is on to have the surgery to get my toes back to normal.
