Chef Anthony Iracane’s “Worst Dinner Service Ever” Leads to Lowest Tip of the Season
It was stormy seas for the Below Deck chef when a few mistakes during dinner service disappointed the charter guests.
When the latest charter guests got on board St. David on Below Deck Season 11, Episode 10 things already got off to a rocky start where the food and drink service was concerned. The guests, including primary Melinda and her husband Noah, as well as The Real Housewives of New York City alum Jill Zarin and others, were displeased with chef Anthony Iracane's inability to keep up with their preferences, which included a lengthy list of likes, dislikes, and various dietary restrictions.
More recently, On Season 11, Episode 11, chef Anthony faced new hurdles with the guests while preparing dinner service — the likes of which included Captain Kerry Titheradge.
Chef Anthony faces trouble with dinner service on Below Deck Season 11, Episode 11
During the dinner service, Chief stew Fraser Olender became frustrated with Anthony, who was struggling to stay on top of all the dinner orders, which included chicken Pad Thai, tofu pad Thai, and a veggie curry.
"I f-cked myself because it's double work," Anthony lamented in a confessional interview. "Instead of me focused on one main course, now you're talking about three different courses at the same moment."
He added: "[The] food looks like sh-t, it's cold, too many options. I cannot build every plate at the same time [...] I'm sorry; I f-cked up."

After some of the guests complained about the food being "cold," Captain Kerry shared his thoughts on the matter in an interview. "This is the worst dinner service I've had all season," he stated. "My food is already cold."
"There's obviously something going down in the galley, something going wrong," he shared in an interview. "But if I look like I'm getting pissed off, then those are gonna get pissed off around me [...] not good guys."
Later, in an interview, Anthony expressed his discontent with his dinner performance. "Very disappointing, not happy about my job," he shared. "Honestly, I don't have this kind of experience, I mean with all this vegan, pescatarian, vegetarian, I just...don't want to be on this charter anymore, it's like, too much for me."
Captain Kerry Titheradge Talks to Chef Anthony About His Dinner Service
The next day, Kerry brought Anthony into the bridge for a talk about the previous night's dinner service, revealing that his and other charter guests' food was cold.
After sharing how he was trying to find a way to make the dinner "amazing," Anthony revealed he was too "obsessed" and "mad" at himself while preparing the food because he couldn't "save" the situation.
Kerry noted that Anthony was perhaps "too laser-focused" on the preferences of one guest instead of "thinking outside the box" for how to efficiently serve everyone.
The Crew Receives Their "Worst Tip" of the Season — and Chef Anthony Iracane Has Thoughts
Following the charter, the crew gathered around to receive their tip: $20,000, or $1,667 each, their lowest tip of the season.
"Worst tip we've had so far so not a good feeling," deckhand Kyle Stillie stated in an interview. "At the same time, that's still a lot of money."
Though the crew was able to blow off some steam later during their day out together at the beach, Anthony was still feeling upset about his dinner service performance.
"I disappoint[ed] the captain and I disappoint[ed] everyone," he said in an interview. "I've been a chef on a yacht for, like, four years, [and] I'm still learning. So it's very tricky. In a restaurant, you have each person for one ingredient. So, you have the guy who's going to pour the sauce on the plate, and one guy to start cleaning the dishes. Me? I'm [...] all by myself. Nobody is going to come to help me."
Anthony concluded in his interview: "But I promised to my young self: 'One day Anthony we'll be on the top. We'll be successful. No matter what. So, I have to keep this promise."
