Cary Deuber Takes Us Inside Her Tropical 40th Birthday Trip

Cary Deuber turned the party dial all the way up when it came to celebrating her 40th birthday. The Real Housewives of Dallas nurse used the milestone occasion to chill out with some of her closest family and friends in the Turks and Caicos.

"My daughter and my stepdaughter were here with my parents and a bunch of my friends. There were about 12 people. We all came to Parrot Cay first which is a little island off of Turks and Caicos," she told The Daily Dish via phone while wrapping up the trip earlier this week. She added that the getaway was doubly special as it was also her stepdaughter Lara's Sweet 16. So the twosome decided to combine their celebration for a joint bash.

But since the Deubers are a go big or go home family, Cary and husband, Mark, made sure to extend the getaway. Following the birthday festivities, they sent everyone home and made it a little more romantic. "After that Mark and I, we took my parents [and the kids to] the airport and flew the kids home with them," she said. While the grandparents were babysitting, the couple headed to Amanyara for a few more days. "It's been an amazing 40th," she said. "I wouldn't have wanted to spend it any other way. It's been awesome."

But no birthday would be complete without a great gift. "[Mark] got me a Birkin bag from Hermes, so that was really nice," Cary said. "His boys' trip to New York was apparently was a cover for him to fly to New York and get me a bag. So he went through a lot of trouble and got me that [which was] very sweet, very sweet."
