Sergio Made a Major Sale to Buy Caroline Stanbury's Engagement Ring: "Not Really in My Plans"

The Real Housewives of Dubai cast member revealed new details about her oval-shaped diamond ring from Sergio Carrallo.

After Caroline Stanbury kicked off 2021 by getting engaged to Sergio Carrallo, she proudly showed off her gorgeous diamond engagement ring. More recently, The Real Housewives of Dubai cast member, who tied the knot with her beau later that year, spoke with The Daily Dish in August 2024, and shared new details about the stunning cushion-cut diamond placed on an utterly sophisticated gold band.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Dubai Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

"I told him the shape [I wanted]. That was about it," the Ladies of London alum shared in the exclusive interview about how she and Sergio went about her engagement ring purchase. "He knows that I’m very, very picky and I think I really wanted to love it and wear it. I’ve always wanted an oval."

In addition to the shape details, Caroline also revealed an interesting fact about the ring we honestly weren't expecting.

"He sold his first car that he got whenever he was however young," she shared as Sergio, who was present for the interview, clarified he was around "17 [or] 18" when he bought his Audi TT.

"It was not really in my plans to do it like this [but] everything was so fast, you know?" Sergio explained. "My dream was to keep that car in my living room [but] I had to change that [for] Caroline."

But wait: there's more.

In the same interview, Caroline revealed that the above-mentioned oval-shaped engagement ring wasn't the first ring Sergio bought her.

"I gave her a low-cost one because I proposed in the Himalayas, so I bought one on the way up to the mountain," Sergio shared. "It was a stone from the Himalayas, and I proposed with that one."

"I didn’t know how on Earth I said yes to that. I tried to lose it," Caroline hilariously stated of the ring Sergio initially purchased that had "these beautiful hearts all the way around."

"[It was] for the memory. The most complicated diamond shape I think you can have," Sergio clarified. "[It's] something very special and you hate it, but I love it, so…"

"He likes the sentiment around it. I think it’s bloody ugly," Caroline joked before saying, "But they made it gorgeous."

Sergio then noted that Caroline apparently "lost" the ring after he proposed at the Himalayan peaks in Nepal. "It was freezing! My hands were freezing," Caroline clarified.

"Well, I wanted to do something very different out of all this luxury life and all this crazy stuff. So, we were on the mountain for 12 days," Sergio shared of the getaway. "I think there was no better way to really end [a] trip [than] proposing."
