Firing crew members is one of the more unpleasant tasks for a captain, but unfortunately, it's sometimes necessary. While no one has been let go yet on Below Deck Season 7, there's always the possibility. In an interview with The Daily Dish podcast, Captain Lee Rosbach shared his process on how he decides which crew members to kick off the yacht.
"For me it happens really quick," he said. "You know, it’s like somebody flips a light switch. I’ve had enough. It’s time to go."
However, he usually waits for a specific time during the charter season to initiate turnover. As Kate Chastain explained, "But usually, I think, usually we wait until, like, after the charter’s over, because if you let them know, like, mid-charter, we’re out at sea, like, you want to wait ‘til you’re at the dock and they can pack their stuff."
"if you can," Captain Lee agreed. "Uh, sometimes I know it and I’ll put off letting them know that I know it, until we, you know, like you said, get back to the dock."
