Captain Lee on Van Drama: "Do You Really Think I Would Not Have Done Something Had I Known?"
The Below Deck boss explains why he didn't come down harder on the crew after the incident.
One of the most explosive moments ever in Below Deck history just went down this season, and no one in the crew got so much as a talking to from Captain Lee Rosbach.
After watching Kate Chastain and Ashton Pienaar's van drama, some Below Deck fans wondered why Captain Lee didn't discipline anyone in the crew. The Below Deck boss explained to one fan on Twitter on December 30 that he didn't see the footage of that chaotic night until he watched the episode, just like the rest of us. "Do you really think I would not have done something had I known," Captain Lee tweeted. "Please, you don't really know me, do you?"
Captain Lee said in another recent tweet that things would have been "totally" different had he known about what went down in the van that night. "They were all wrong, just plain wrong on so many levels," Captain Lee said on Twitter of how Ashton, Tanner Sterback, and Brian de Saint Pern acted after the incident.
Captain Lee told Kate in the Below Deck Season 7 After Show that he wishes she would have told him what was going on with the crew during the charter season. "All of this I'm hearing for the first time. I am shocked, and I'm sure I'm gonna be shocked when I see what transpires, and I'm sure I'm gonna have a different viewpoint when I actually see the visual. And just from what I'm hearing now, it's like you should've come to me earlier with some of this stuff," he said in the above clip. "Had I known about it, things would have been different."
