5 Bravo Musical Moments That Are Bursting with Southern Charm
Before you watch the new NBC comedy Perfect Harmony, relive these Bravo moments that sing.
Music is a major part of all of our lives, so it's no surprise that Bravolebs are as obsessed with humming a tune or busting a move as we are. From Camille Grammer's show-stopping dance moves to all of those glorious Real Housewives singles to the party that James Kennedy always brings as Vanderpump Rules' resident DJ, Bravolebs just couldn't live without music.
But nobody brings the beat quite like our friends in the south. And that's not just on Bravo, either.
In the new NBC comedy Perfect Harmony, which premieres Thursday, September 26 at 8:30/7:30c, you're going to fall in love with the small-town church choir former Princeton music professor Arthur Cochran (Bradley Whitford) finds himself at the helm of, which includes the sweet southern belle Ginny (Anna Camp).
Perfect Harmony will have us singing and laughing, lifting our spirits with its comedy and soul, just like these musical moments from some of our favorite southern ladies and gents on Southern Charm, Southern Charm New Orleans, and The Real Housewives of Dallas.
1. Kelsea Ballerini's Connection with Craig Conover
Before she became the country superstar she is today, Kelsea Ballerini brought her musical stylings to Southern Charm as the cast attended a charity event for the Wounded Warrior Project in Season 2. She even found herself in the middle of some Charleston drama after her high bid to go on a date with Craig Conover for charity caused Shep Rose to get a little jealous. But don't worry, Kelsea, these guys probably would have been arguing about something that night anyway.
2. LeeAnne Locken's Hidden Rap Talent
LeeAnne Locken is full of surprises, and she really made our jaws drop when she revealed that she could spit a rhyme like the best of them in Season 3 of RHOD as she and D'Andra Simmons competed in the talent portion to see who was the ultimate beauty queen of the group (clip above). Unfortunately, LeeAnne's rapping didn't earn her the title, but we think she could definitely tour under the MC name of LL Cool Dame.
3. Whitney Sudler-Smith Wails on His Guitar
By now, you should have realized that Whitney Sudler-Smith is not your typical southern gentleman. For one thing, he loves to rock, and he has often treated us to some tunes with his guitar on the series, as you can see above. Whitney even told The Daily Dish in August that he's "been working on a new and exciting music project with Johnny Tempesta, drummer from The Cult and White Zombie, out in L.A." We definitely can't wait to hear more.
4. The Dallas Housewives Get Down in Fort Worth
Nobody parties like the RHOD crew, even if it's just a day trip. The Lone Star ladies went to Fort Worth, Texas in Season 3, and they ended the day by shaking it on the dance floor. LeeAnne particularly impressed us by getting low. We're dying to have a night out on the town with this gang!
5. The Southern Charm New Orleans' Crew's Dance-Off to End All Dance-Offs
The New Orleans Charmers shined bright in their neon green turtlenecks (as part of a prank on Jon Moody) as they competed in a boys-versus-girls dance-off. While both routines definitely wowed us, the guys were just a bit better in strutting their stuff. But we totally wouldn't mind watching a rematch.
Make sure to tune into Perfect Harmony Thursdays at 8:30/7:30c on NBC for more magnificent musical moments. Check out a sneak peek of the new series, below.
