Captain Sandy Yawn brings on a new crew member in the Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9 midseason teaser.
The charter season may be halfway over on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9, but there's a new crew member who viewers still have yet to meet.
In the midseason trailer for Season 9, which dropped on August 5, Captain Sandy Yawn introduces the Mustique crew to their newest stew: Carrie O'Neill.
The decision to make the hire comes after the crew kicked off the season a stew down thanks to a leak in one of the cabins. Now, Sandy is looking to bring on reinforcements for the final few charters.
"How do you feel if we brought in another stew?" she asks chief stew Aesha Scott in the teaser, who literally jumps for joy at the thought of getting an extra set of hands on board.
Once Carrie arrives, she causes quite the stir with the other yachties — and she further complicated Joe Bradley's love triangle with stews Bri Muller and Elena "Ellie" Dubaich.
"I'm not after another one," deckhand Joe tells bestie Nathan Gallagher in the clip. Nathan vehemently disagrees with Joe, and much of the rest of the midseason trailer shows Joe cozying up to Carrie.
In an interview, Carrie explains, "My friends would tell you I'm a flirt. I'm a pathological flirt."
Will Carrie's connection with Joe lead to even more drama on the interior team? You'll have to tune in to find out.
