We Have a Major Update on Gary King and Colin MacRae's Friendship
Here's where the Below Deck Sailing Yacht crewmates stand today.
Gary King and Colin MacRae have been best mates this season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht. But, as the charter season comes to a close, it looks like that friendship may be put in jeopardy.
It all started back in the May 31 episode of Below Deck Sailing Yacht when Gary told Colin that he was going to hook up with Sydney Zaruba after Alli Dore had put their relationship on hold. Colin advised Gary, "If you like Alli, don't f--k Sydney."
The next day, in the June 7 episode, Colin let it slip to Daisy Kelliher that Gary told him that he was going to hook up with Sydney just to get Alli's attention. Well, it looks like Daisy will be passing that along to Alli, according to a preview of the upcoming Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2 finale, information that understandably makes her upset. In the sneak peek, we also see Gary having a tense moment with Colin, in which he tells his crewmate, "You put me under the bus there. You wanted the drama, you got the drama."
We'll have to wait and see what happens between Gary and Colin in the season finale, but when the first mate appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on June 7, he teased that he felt "a little bit stabbed in the back" watching Colin tell Daisy what he said about Alli and Sydney (clip below). Gary added, "And the fact that he went and told Daisy about it, and Daisy told Alli and created all these dramas, I regret that a bit."
However, Gary said that he would not be letting this get in the way of his friendship with Colin. "No, I don't think something like that could break up our friendship," Gary said, adding, "At the end of the day, no, Colin and I's bond is greater than words, so no, he's still a good friend of mine, and we chat often on the phone."
In fact, Gary has shown Colin a lot of love on social media throughout the season, declaring them the "coolest cats in town" in a March 17 Instagram post.
Gary also confirmed his and Colin's BFF status in another post on Instagram on May 8 that shows the guys wearing matching necklaces. "Find yourself someone who looks at you the way [Colin] looks at me," Gary captioned the pic.
