Andy Cohen’s Daughter, Lucy, Just Experienced a Major First (PIC)
The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host shared adorable footage of his little one as she tried something new.
Andy Cohen’s son, Benjamin Allen Cohen, has had a busy summer sneaking chips at 7 a.m. and doing his “calculations” on the way to camp. But Ben’s little sis, 1-year-old Lucy, has had a packed to-do list too. In fact, the little one just experienced a major first — and her dad shared adorable footage to mark the occasion.
How Andy Cohen and His Kids Are Spending Summer
In an August 23 Instagram post, the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host shared a quintessential summer video. The clip showed him in the ocean waves with little Lucy in his arms. Since Andy has been spending time in the Hamptons this summer, it’s likely that the photo was snapped there — and the photo depicted an idyllic sunny day.
As the gentle waves washed over them, Andy bent his head toward his daughter, who appeared to be gazing out dreamily at the horizon. But this wasn’t any old beach day. In his caption, the Daddy Diaries author wrote: “Lucy’s first time in the ocean.”
Though this was the first time the little girl had stepped into the ocean waves, it’s certainly not the first time she’s visited the beach.
“I just spent several years building a dream house on the beach, and it’s finally done, so I’m going to be spending a lot of time with my family out there,” Andy recently told E! News about his summer plans. “That’s my big plan. I’m staying local, staying in my new house, and just want to experience the summer with [the kids].”
In a July 25 Instagram post, Andy shared a photo of Lucy sitting on his lap, looking as cute as ever in a ruffled polka-dotted outfit. “Summer Lovin,” Andy captioned the picture, which had a sandy, beachy backdrop.
But at this point in the summer, Lucy is becoming a true ocean pro. See the little one ride her first waves in the pic below.
A Look Back at Lucy’s First Birthday
Lucy checked off another first — namely, her first birthday, back in April. On April 29, the talk show host shared an Instagram photo of himself holding Lucy and a golden balloon.
“Happy birthday, sweetheart!” he wrote. Lucy’s celebration also included a cute rainbow cake from Sugaree’s Bakery and a special gift from Anderson Cooper’s son.
“Little Wyatt Cooper gave her this,” Andy said in a video, showing the colorful rattle Lucy was holding, “which she really loves.”
