Andy Cohen Reveals the Heartfelt Meaning Behind the Special Items in the Clubhouse
The WWHL host sent a special holiday message to military families around the nation.
Andy Cohen is opening up about the significance behind some of the memorabilia showcased in the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen clubhouse. During the December 21 episode of the show, Andy sent a heartfelt shout-out to military families by revealing the touching meaning behind two items prominently displayed near him every night.
“Behind me, you can see this coin over my shoulder. It’s always there, it’s a special challenge coin given to me by a viewer named Christina Towers,” Andy explained. “Christina was an audience member at the show during one of her husband’s deployments and this coin was from his unit, which is the 301st Combat Rescue Squadron.”
Andy also went on to point that the coin sits next to a small American flag, also given to him by a viewer. “[It] was given to my by a viewer named Kate who came to my AC2 tour while her husband was on active duty in the Middle East,” he said.
Both pieces serve as a symbol of gratitude for military families around the nation, as Andy went on to explain. “We’re here to keep you company and take your mind off things, but right there, every night, this is our shout-out to thank all of our military families separated during the holidays and all year long,” he concluded. “We appreciate your service, we appreciate your sacrifice and we just want to wish you all happy holidays and a safe and wonderful 2021.”
