Andy Cohen Just Did *This* for the First Time on WWHL
Find out what the host was “not minding” to do for the first time on the show.
Andy Cohen may be 20 seasons into Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, but he’s still experiencing a few firsts on the show.
On the August 13 episode, Andy did something he had never done before on the late-night series. Keep scrolling to find out what it is.
Andy Cohen’s Latest WWHL First Includes His Bare Feet
Temperatures rose in the Clubhouse on the August 13 broadcast — and it had nothing to do with any heated confrontations between the guests.
“The air-conditioning is not working in our building tonight, so Daddy is so hot,” Andy explained early on the show. “I may be taking my shoes off in a second. I’m sorry.”
Just a few minutes later, Andy made good on his promise by taking off his blazer… and his shoes.
Believe it or not, Andy’s decision to remove his footwear marked a first for him in his 14 years of hosting the show. “I don’t think I’ve ever hosted the show barefoot, and I’m not minding it,” he said.
Why Andy Cohen's Feet Appeared on WWHL
Though Andy and guests Jessel Taank and Michael Rapaport spent most of the episode without the benefit of air-conditioning, the issue was ultimately remedied before the trio said goodbye for the evening.
“I am happy to report [that] I think they fixed the AC,” Andy said toward the end of the episode as he put his blazer back on.
Another First in the WWHL Clubhouse
Andy’s shoeless hosting wasn’t the only first the Bravo staple experienced on WWHL in 2023. Back in January, Andy dropped an F-bomb on a live episode for the first time in the show’s history while he was discussing a death prank trend on TikTok.
“For the last two weeks, people have been sending me videos of their loved ones being told I’m dead,” Andy said on the January 3 episode. “I have no desire to experience people’s reactions to me dying. I am scared enough of dying in reality without having to watch bizarre simulations of it over and over again! So let me be clear: Don’t make, distribute, or tag me in any f-cking Andy Cohen death reaction videos, you freaks.”
After saying the expletive aloud, Andy covered his mouth with his hands.
“On a side note, that was the first time I’ve ever done that on this show,” he continued. He later apologized on Twitter for letting the word slip.
